Baccarat is a relatively simple card game to play and requires little in the way of skill. This is due to the fact that the whole game is controlled by the results of the hands dealt and the betting is done by guessing which hand has the most points. There is no player skill involved in this.

For players to be successful at baccarat, it merely requires a good knowledge of the best and worst edge the house commands per hand. The least successful bet in this case is on a tie, as the house edge is anything up to 14 percent. The best bets are on the player hand, with a house edge of only 1.3 percent or the banker with a house edge of 1 percent plus the house commission of 5 percent, although its worth looking out for casinos that offer a lower house commission of only 4 precent.
