The probabilities of winning either a large prize or being outright winner at a Freeroll Tournament are determined by the number of players involved in the tournament and their skill and experience levels. Often, the majority of players in freerolls will consist of newcomers up to a reasonably high skill level but this can change from tournament to tournament.

Also, the probabilities of winning such an event will increase with your own skill and experience levels as when you have reached a high level yourself, you will be better able to outplay newcomers and thereby increase your poker bankroll for future paying tournaments.

So while there are no hard and fast rules as to gauging the probabilities of emerging an outright winner at any freeroll tournament, you can improve your own odds by working hard at improving your own game and letting other players take care of themselves.
