Biggest Keno Jackpots Ever

Early on in the US Keno story, there were strict limits placed on the jackpots the game could produced, which stifled the potential expansion in popularity of the game.

In Nevada in 1963 the aggregate payout limit for Keno was just $25,000. In 1979 this payout cap was increased to $50,000. Eventually the Nevada Gaming Commission went on to eliminate this cap, and in 1989, casinos were free to set their own aggregate limits as best suits them.

On 25th March, 1997 it is reported that John Eckholt won $364,405.16 in the Lark Lounge in Columbus, Nebraska, which is believed to be the largest all time Keno jackpot paid out for an 8 spot keno ticket. It appears this record has yet to be beaten.

On 16th October 2003 a London based online Keno player known as nomokes scooped a record breaking $206,548.61 whilst playing in the InterCasino. That was a record payout for any single online Keno game up to that point and it appears that to this day it has not been beaten.
