Annette Obrestad Joins Full Tilt Poker

With the 2010 World Series of Poker almost upon us, Full Tilt Poker have rounded out their team of professionals with Annette Obrestad completing the line up.

While the United States Treasury continues to apply increasing pressure on the online gambling industry, poker players from all over the world will not allow it to dampen their enthusiasm for the greatest tournament on the planet which is this year being held in America's gambling capital, Las Vegas. The management team at Full Tilt Poker are extremely happy at the arrival of Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad into their professional team of some of the best poker players in the world. She has certainly caused a stir since she announced her decision to join the team and it comes at just the right time for them.

Obrestad has the knack of finding herself in the right place and this is certainly the right time with only a month to go before the WSOP opens in Las Vegas. She only turned 21 following the conclusion of the previous WSOP and that means she is of age and can legally participate in this year's tournament.

As long ago as 2007, Annette Obrestad was sought after by the Full Tilt management to join the team. She was earmarked for a lucrative sponsorship opportunity after taking the WSOP Europe main event title that year, but to the astonishment of the team, she made a deal with Betfair that locked her into a three year contract. Now that contract has up and she is free to switch allegiances and Full Tilt were quick to move in with an offer that she obviously found tempting enough to accept. This gives her the ability to go after the main event title this year with the backing of Full Tilt to spur her on.

Despite her age, Obrestad will rapidly mature into a team player for Full Tilt as she is already an experienced professional and a determined poker player looking to reach the top. She has a remarkable talent that has certainly paid off on the many hands she has already sat through with great skill coupled with uncanny luck seeming to go her way more often than not. She has amassed more than $3 million during her relatively short professional career in live poker both in live tournaments and online that has seen her also take second place at EPT Dublin.

Obrestad is set to host the FTOPS XVI Main Event for Full Tilt which is something many of her fans will be looking forward to.
