With Video Poker probabilities are not so clear cut as they depend upon the type of game being played, its payout percentage and house edge and the player’s own skill and experience level.
It is possible of course to provide the probabilities of being dealt certain poker hands with video poker games following the traditional 5-card draw odds and these are as follows:
| Hand | Combinations | Odds |
| Royal Flush | 4 | 72,192:1 |
| Straight Flush | 36 | 72,192:1 |
| Four of a Kind | 624 | 4,164:1 |
| Full House | 3,744 | 693:1 |
| Flush | 5,108 | 508:1 |
| Straight | 10,200 | 254:1 |
| Three of a Kind | 54,912 | 46:1 |
| Two Pairs | 123,552 | 20:1 |
| One Pair | 1,098,240 | 1.37:1 |
| Others | 1,302,540 | 1:1 |
The above gives a player a fair idea of what to expect from the average Video Poker game in terms of the odds of receiving a certain winning hand.
