Subject :How addicted to the Internet are you?..

Hi everyone! I'm new here and was just wondering how you saw yourself in terms as being addicted to the Internet, not just to online gambling but the whole online thing. Do you feel you are a slave to your computer? Do you feel that you can't get off it when there is still so much more stuff to do online? Do you miss your favorite TV shows because you were so caught up in messaging with friends on Facebook? Do you feel that you need to get a life? So many questions, I know but what do you think? Are you an Internet junkie or what?

I like to think that I'm not really addicted to anything. When I play online, I can stop when I want and I think that is the secret to avoiding addiction. Once you can't stop when you want to, you're in trouble.

I often wonder about that and sometimes I can spend a few hours doing this. But is it addiction of just a little obsessive gaming? Chelsea is right that if you can stop when you want, then you are in control and not addicted, like smoking or nail biting (!!) yeah, I know some people who are nail biting addicts that bite those nails so bad their fingers bleed and they still bit them more! I reckon finger nails are actually more addictive than tobacco...

Yeah, its true if you can stop doing something, then you ain't addicted to it. On the other hand, if it feels good, hell do it!

So like sometimes it feels like an addiction, but really its just a compulsion to get on the table and get some action. Gambling itself is only a part of the deal, the game is the real attraction.

I'm not so sure its the gambling that I'm addicted to, or even the Internet itself. Its more the computer for me, cause I just enjoy playing around with stuff and not all online. I do image manipulation using photoshop and that burns up hours if I let it, but it sure beats sitting like a zombie in front of the TV watching a bunch of ads with some awful programs wrapped around them...
