Whoa there is total madness alive and well in the State of Alabama.

The prosecution against (allegedly) illegal gambling in Alabama has ended up a little more costly than they expected. So like instead of the State taxing the industry and reaping some nice revenue coin, the Governor’s crazy gang Task Force on Illegal Gambling has managed to blow over half a million bucks in legal bills in the witch hunt for illegal gambling.

Pure craziness and I might add that if I were a tax paying citizen of that State, I would be demanding to know how they could be so disrespectful of my hard earned tax dollars...

So like do these guys understand they were elected by the folks they are now spending their money without caring and they expect those same folks to vote for them again?

That doesn't really surprise me. Politicians were never known for their common sense, just their greed and need to line their own pockets without giving a damn about the fools who voted for them. They're not much different here in the UK, just maybe a little sneakier at keeping their little scams quiet!
