Hey guys. According to yet another ...yawn... survey carried out this time by Ipsos Reid and reported by the Toronto Sun, like in 2007, 41 percent of Americans believed online gambling to be illegal. A more recent study for 2010 has found that number dropped to 37 percent. So they're saying more Americans have figured out all by themselves that its not illegal to gamble online. So do those same folks know their online transactions are being blocked by the credit card companies and they probably can't get paid any winnings? Aw, who cares anyway?

It would seem that maybe this information has not been aired on American TV in an episode of one of the popular series, or the whole population would know for sure...

British TV is going the same way American TV went - reality TV shows and rubbish that appeals to brain dead people, its no wonder society is going down the tubes. Trouble is, politicians know exactly how to manipulate TV to brainwash the viewers to believe anything they want them to believe...

So like your saying what we believe is really what we've been programmed to believe by the TV? Aw shucks, does that mean Homer Simpson is not a real person and House is not even an American? NOOOooooo!!!

Dude you yanking our chain? The dude who plays house is American! And I hate to say it but Homer Simpson is a cartoon... except that one time when he morphed into a computer generated character...

Hate to break it to you Zit, but the star of House is Hugh Lawrie and he is most definitely a Brit!

You guys crack me up! Ain't too many Brits pulled it off as American actors, but remember the Mario Brothers? Bob Hoskins did a pretty good new yorker (unless you are a New Yorker, then you'd know he wasn't...)

I feel I must add to this line of conversation that some of our own actors have failed miserably at mimicking what we perceive to be the British accent. Who could ever forget Dick Van Dyke as a chimney sweep in Mary Poppins! I believe he managed to make vast swathes of the viewing public cringe on both sides of the Atlantic!
