What follows are the main rules laid out for the World Series of Poker Tournament

Chip race rule: Race-off is the removal of a chip denomination that is no longer in use.

Side pots: Each side pot will be split as a separate pot. Pots will not be mixed together before they are split.

Odd Chips: Odd chip(s) go to the highest hand. In flop games where two or more high or low hands exist, the odd chip(s) go to the hand on the left of the button.

Calling-for-clock: When a reasonable amount of time has passed, i.e. no less than three minutes and a clock is called, players are given one minute to act. If no action has been taken in that time, a ten second countdown follows. If the player has still not acted by the end of the countdown, the hand is deemed dead.

Dead Button: The dead button rule will be used during tournament play.

A player exposing their cards with action pending will not have a dead hand but may incur a penalty.

In its sole discretion, penalties may imposed by Harrah’s which include missed-hand penalties and verbal warnings

A disqualified player will have their chips removed from play. No refund will be provided.

To have a live hand, a player must be at their seat by the time all other players are dealt initial hands. Players must also be at their seats in order to call time.
