Even in my home country, some teenagers steal credit cards from parents to buy stupid things. Also they access online casinos and use credit cards to make bets. You write about how bad this is, but in reality, there are very few actual cases of this happening relative to the number of people who gamble online and have access to Internet. It is similar to blaming huge numbers of any sector of the populace for acts that are perpetrated by so few in reality.

It is perspective that is flawed in creating panic amongst people by using all forms of media by writing about a subject such as this in sensationalizing way. But in fact the truth is very small and not so sensational. 

Hi, I was reading about aresnalmania being bought out by Play LA Inc as a way to get to loyal Arsenal FC fans and tap into their huge quarter of a million a month visitors in the hope they can steer them towards making bets. I reckon they'll shoot themselves in the foot because Aresnal fans got to that site to read about and discuss all things Arsenal. Those fans are pretty tight to their club and won't take all that well to being steered towards anything else.

Might be a good time to start a rival site to catch all the deserters that leave arasenalmania in disgust, cause there's going to be a lot of them.  

Hi, I have to share this with you.. Roman Abramovich, the Russian billionaire and owner of flambouyant football club Chelsea FC, has won a public apology and huge libel damages at the High Court. An Italian newspaper claimed he'd lost his yacht gambling on poker and that his relationship with Dasha Zhukova, his long term partner was under strain because of an alleged gambling problem.

Looks like it was fabricated and he has come out of it as clean as a shiny new penny. Abramovich will donate the damages he got from La Repubblica to charity, which shows he's actually a good guy too!

Hey dudes, I heard a 4th online gambling info site came under a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack. This time is is the gambling-gazette an Australian based site. It was disabled last week by the attack but was revived okay, but it went offline again this week.

The other sites to get hit were Online Casino reviewer, casinomeister and union last weekend.

Man, someone has got a problem with gambling sites, but they're hitting info sites and not the casinos themselves. Wonder why that is?

Hey everyone, this is pretty interesting considering there are so many online gambling operators based in Costa Rica. If they adopt teh US$ as their official currency, a lot of folks will be worse off because they were gaming the system getting paid in US$ but paying their staff in Colons.

Interesting development in a country that could certainly use some financial stability.

Hi everyone, I hear that the Advertising Standards Authority upheld a complaint (just one?) against a TV ad for tombola (the online bingo operator). They considered it likely to cause offence by presenting a negative racial stereotype.

Lucky they didn't want to promote the fact that playing bingo can be fun, or the politically correct thought police probably would have declared a national curfew.
