Whoa there is total madness alive and well in the State of Alabama.

The prosecution against (allegedly) illegal gambling in Alabama has ended up a little more costly than they expected. So like instead of the State taxing the industry and reaping some nice revenue coin, the Governor’s crazy gang Task Force on Illegal Gambling has managed to blow over half a million bucks in legal bills in the witch hunt for illegal gambling.

Pure craziness and I might add that if I were a tax paying citizen of that State, I would be demanding to know how they could be so disrespectful of my hard earned tax dollars...

A joint investigation between Cheshire Police and The Safer Halton Partnership has led to the UK Gambling Commission to issued its first caution over illegal pub poker. Three men were found to be providing poker games for real money stakes over the statutory maximum in a Runcorn pub.

Seems he owes his good friend £85,000, which means the guy is probably no longer his friend as he is taking the ex-footballer to court for the money. Sad times when you can't control what should be a form of entertainment only.

Hey dudes, I was hoping that headline would get some interest. It is, of course a pile of horsecrap but I really did question 100 individuals across a wide cross section of my community.

I asked 40 guys who were attending a celebration drink in my local bar and they all said yeah, they like to gamble online, well, some of them were about to pass out but they could still nod their heads...

Then I asked 40 women I was stalking, erm, I mean surveying in my local mall and 30 of them said hell, yeah to gambling online. The 10 who said no were also threatening to call the cops if I didn't get outta their faces and stop following them around trying to get their phone numbers...

The other 20 were made up of my folks, some neighbors, the Friday night poker guys and my two dogs. All said they love to gamble online.

So there you have it, folks! I real live, totally honest and professionally conducted poll of Americans who truly love to gamble online.

What d'ya mean dogs can't vote? I held up one hand with NO written on it and the other hand with YEs that was also holding a burger. Guess dogs ain't so stupid...

This is another of those crazy ideas that has manifest in "nanny state" Britain, but now so-called technology addicts can seek treatment at a London hospital that has launched bespoke treatment for people diagnosed with the this condition. Its designed for young people who spend a lot of time each day playing such things as computer games, using social network websites or... gasp... gambling at online casinos!

How terrible has life become when you have to seek rehab for using the Internet. I wonder if there is a plan for a rehab clinic for people who spend too many hours in libraries reading those papery things... oh yes, books!
